Dearest Abuelo of Eleanor, Justin, Allison, Katelyn, Victoria, Rocky, Jennifer Rose, Hannah, Breanne, Alyssa, Andrew Joseph, Joshua, Adam, Amelia, Alex, Peter, Nathan, Ella, Isabella, Natalie, Kyle and Kira. Great grandfather of Harlee, Wynter and Sloan. Dear brother of Raymond Simone and Steven Simon (deceased). Dear cousin, uncle and friend of many.
Deacon Fred was born in Spanish Harlem and educated at a prestigious, selective science and math exclusive high school followed by obtaining a Master Degree in Engineering from NYU before relocating to Cleveland. Here, he and the love of his life Millie embarked on their new adventures at NASA, where he worked for 40 years, and dedication to the Catholic Church as the first Hispanic Deacon in our Diocese of Cleveland, while raising 9 children. He and Millie have inspired and touched many lives. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation May 8, 2023, Monday 3pm - 8pm at La Sagrada Familia Church 7719 Detroit Ave. Cleveland Ohio 44102. Vesper Services Monday 3pm officiated by our Bishop of Cleveland Edward Malesic. Funeral Mass Tuesday 11am at La Sagrada Familia officiated by our Auxiliary Bishop Michael G. Woost.. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
