Robert L. Keys

Robert L. Keys was born on April 11, 1991 to Frank J. Hunter, Jr. and Teresa M. Keys at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.

Robert attended private school, Fullerton, South High School, and Strongsville High School. He was excellent with numbers and the awards to prove it. Robert was the only black student on the team that won Challenge 24, a mathematician contest. As a result, he was invited to visit China.

Robert was affectionately called “Manny the Milk Man” because he often made his twin sisters, Theanna and Rheanna, milk bottles for their go bag. Manny was a wonderful son and brother. Everyone in the neighborhood knew who he was and looked out for him. He was known as “Manny the Happy Smiling Gentile Giant” because he was always happy, jolly, laughing and smiling!!!

Robert enjoyed sports. Basketball was his favorite; whether going to the games or watching with family and friends. Manny would give you the last dollar out of his pocket, laugh and smile, and say “God Bless You!”

Robert went home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2023. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Ethel, George, Martha, Ruth, and Eddie; aunt, Adama; uncle, Rodney; and cousin Breonna.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Teresa M. Keys and Frank J. Hunter, Jr.; grandparents, Frank J. Hunter, Sr. and Georgia M. Keys; siblings, Terrance G. Keys, Theanna L. Keys, Rheanna E. Keys, Reginald D. Hunter, Quatrina L. Hunter, Lavonte D. Hunter, Frank J. Hunter, III, Frankie M. Hunter; uncles Brian G. Keys and Reginald Hunter; aunt Jennifer M. Keys; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Manny will be dearly missed and no one can fill the void left by his passing. Teresa’s “Baby Boy” is in Almighty God’s Care. His mission is now complete.

A visitation for Manny will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cummings & Davis Funeral Home, 13201 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, Ohio 44112. A wake will occur Friday, March 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, 13201 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, Ohio 44112. A celebration of life will occur Friday, March 10, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, 13201 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, Ohio 44112. An interment will occur Friday, March 10, 2023 at 12:30 PM at Cleveland Memorial Gardens, 4324 Green Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44121.
