Sara Ruth Knowles

As a young woman, Sara dedicated her life to the Lord and embraced the joy of receiving the Holy Ghost in 1957.

Sara was united in holy matrimony to Jamie Knowles. Four children were born to this union.

After divorcing Mr. Knowles, Sara devoted her life to her children and her work.

She worked as a nurse’s aide at St. Vincent Hospital for several years. After leaving her job there, she worked for Martha and Steve Stone caring for their children.

Sara Knowles was a loving mother, wonderful sister, and a loyal friend.

Sara departed this life, Saturday, December 22, 2019 while residing at Grande Pointe Nursing Home.

Sara leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Janet Knowles, Denese Knowles, and Katrese Knowles; one son, Donald Knowles; nine grandchildren, Thomas Knowles, Aliyah Knowles, Lymia Knowles, Marcus Knowles, Alexandria Knowles, Alexis Jones, Donald Leroy Jones-Knowles (whom she reared), Micah Roberts, Machia Roberts, Brielle Roberts, and Darielle Bracy; siblings, Inez Strong, Maxcine Thompson, Mary Francis, Emma Golden, Mary Dudley, and Quincy Gray; and a host of other relatives and friends.
