Dear Clare, Steve and Mike, Not a day goes by that I don't think of your Dad. I can honestly say my life is better for having known him. He was a teacher and always shared new knowledge and ways to make things work. I am so grateful for having the privilege to get to know him and your Mom. He treasured all of you and was so proud. Dear Steve Conrad's Family,
I just tonight had heard of your Fathers passing, I am so sorry for your loss! I am a Realtor and met Steve 9 years ago, he did a Home Inspection for my buyers and i have used him many times over the years.  Your dad was an honest guy and great inspector.  All i know is that your dad loved all of you and your mother. He talked about one of you kids hooking up his GPS to where he could talk on his phone from the GPS and i thought it was the coolest thing and i had to get me the same GPS!!When your mother got sick,and when i would ask him about her he would tell me how she was doing but everytime i saw him it was different, he had a sadness over him and he was very quiet at the home inspections and i felt really bad for him and i knew he loved your mother very much.  I am so sorry for your losses, may they both be in your hearts forever.......

I will always be grateful that Steve (and all the other Conrads) crossed my path in life. We ended up going down different roads, but I never forgot him. I still have and cherish a drawing he made for me when I was 14 years old to cheer me up. That was the kind of giving person he was. Dear Claire, Stephen, and Mike;

Please accept my wife and my condolences on the passing of your father and our dear friend. 

The only joy greater than personally knowing Steve all of these years, is that he is now in Heaven with his one true love, your mom. 

Steve lived his life with love for everyone, and all of us who knew him or had the privilege of traveling down even the shortest of lifes paths with him were so much more enriched because of it. 

I had the opportunity to spend a few hours with him along with your Aunt Mary and our mutual friend Larry, a few nights before his party. Together for a few short hours we talked, prayed, played guitar, sang together, and really had a chance to sit down and say our goodbye's. This night I will never forget. Even in the final days your father and our friend could still play "Alice's Restaurant" like no one else!

I know Steve would not have wanted us to grieve his death - I'll always remember him for his smiles, wit, humor, and being there whenever anyone needed him. 

My dear friend - I know this day you are in a better place - a place that someday we all hope to be, so that when our times come, we can once again begin to make new memories - only this time for eternity!

Claire, Steve and Mike,

Your dad was our home inspector for the home we have now.  He checked everything thoroughly, and warned us not to buy it in it's current condition!  He also knew how much we loved the house, and wasn't surprised when we bought it.  He was a warm and caring person, which is evident in all three of you.  I'm so blessed to have met your mom and dad briefly, and to know all of you.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.  We love you all.

I was honored to stand in a Circle of Respect with Steve at the March Male Spirit retreat.  He taught me much about being a man in a very few hours.
