Sylvia Elaine Woods

Sylvia Woods, age 77, of Beachwood, OH, passed away peacefully on March 12,2026 surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and cherished friend whose kindness, strength, and compassion left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Born on November 5, 1948, in Cleveland, OH, Sylvia was the daughter of Garrett & Earline Miller. She grew up in Cleveland where she developed a strong sense of family, faith, and community that guided her throughout her life.

She shared a loving marriage with her husband of 58 years, Felton, with whom she built a life centered on dedication, partnership, and family. Together they created a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.

Sylvia was deeply devoted to her family and found her greatest joy in caring for and supporting those she loved. She was known for her warm spirit, generous heart, and the way she welcomed others with kindness and understanding. Whether offering guidance, encouragement, or simply a listening ear, she made those around her feel valued and loved.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Felton Jr; her children, Felton (Shiela), Lyr, and Sonya (Paul); her grandchildren Jenna, Justin, and Christopher; and great-grandchildren Lothario and Brysonn; siblings Gwendolyn and Ruth; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garrett & Earline Miller, and her siblings, Ester Taylor, Yvonne Carmichael, Ruby Irene O’Neal, Garrett Miller Jr, Gary Miller, and Sandra Carpenter.

Sylvia will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her resilience, and the compassion she showed to everyone she encountered. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the family she cherished so deeply.
