Tiffany Michelle Scruggs, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Cleveland, Ohio, on November 5, 2024, embraced by her mother, Renee, her sister, Courtney, and surrounded by a room filled with loved ones, just days after celebrating her 41st birthday.
Born on November 2, 1983, Tiffany brought light and joy into the lives of her parents, Renee Scruggs and the late Miller Bailey Jr. Tiffany accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.
From her earliest days at St. Thomas Aquinas to her graduation from Villa Angela, Tiffany excelled in all she did and could have pursued any path. Yet, with a heart set on caring for others, she devoted herself to a career in healthcare, where she touched countless lives, both in her clients’ homes and at Judson Senior Living communities, where she worked for eight years, even through her courageous fight with cancer.
Family was the cornerstone of Tiffany’s life. She cherished her time spent with both the Scruggs and Bailey families, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a fierce competitor at Bid Whist, a loyal Cleveland Browns fan who could be found tailgating before games, and a fantastic cook who hosted gatherings with joy and style. From backyard parties to family reunions, Tiffany’s spirit brought warmth and laughter to every occasion. She loved old school music, especially when performed by her uncles and aunts or mixed via the many DJs in the family and would join in on the party…even at an early age.
A proud and meticulous homeowner, Tiffany’s house was her haven, kept as immaculate as she herself was. Her home was always open to family and friends, with the firm rule that shoes were to be left at the door. She embraced life fully, recently joining her family for her first cruise, attending the recent Scruggs Family Reunion, and made cherished memories celebrating birthdays with her cousins in Dallas. Cancer did not stop Tiffany from living her life her way!
Tiffany’s valiant battle with cancer showed everyone what it meant to “Fight Like A Girl.” With her mother Renee by her side and her dedicated medical consultant, Ms. Carletta Williams, she fought with unbelievable courage, firmly confronting each challenge on her own terms. She inspired everyone who witnessed her resolve, strength, and determination.
Tiffany is preceded in death by her father, Miller Bailey Jr.; her maternal grandparents, Gladys and Leslie “Buddy” Scruggs; her paternal grandparents Leola & Miller Bailey Sr; her brother, Mike Mike Brewer; and her uncle, Keith Scruggs. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted mother, Renee Scruggs; her beloved sister, Courtney Bailey; her nephew, Jamale; her caring brother, Rashaun Bailey; Bonus Mom Kelly Bailey; her cherished “Brother Cousin”, Anthony “Church” Scruggs; “Sister Cousin”, Richelle Scruggs-Dail; Godmothers, Sharon and Roxanne, and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly. Special thanks to our Family Nurse Practitioner, Carletta Williams.
In honoring Tiffany’s life, her family celebrates the love, laughter, and strength she shared with all. She has left an incredible mark on our hearts and will always be remembered for her unwavering strength,
her infectious smile, and the incredible love she held for each of us.
