William was the eldest of three children born to Thomas and Freda Carroll.
His parents and two siblings preceded him in death. He was born and
raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from East Technical High School
and Tri C College. He served 3 years in the Marines.
William worked 32 years for the U.S. Post Office where he was a Supervisor
and 20 years for H&R Block, he also worked for Cleveland Heights City
Hall and he drove for yellow cab.
All though William never had any biological children he raised three
children from his first marriage Linda, Darrell his son Donald preceded
him in death.
William remarried and to this reunion he inherited 5 children, Margaret,
Sherrill, James, Tracy and Tonya.
He leaves to cherish his memory 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren,
a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and his companion of 20 years and wife
of 8 years Sherrill.
