William was the cherished father to Emily Perez, William Perez Jr. (Vickie), and Cindy Garcia (Richard); loving Grandpa to Gabriella, Erica, Julia, Ally, Elena, Richard and John Paul; great grandpa to Harrison, Daniel, Aria and Harvey; treasured brother to Minerva (Gregorio) and Emilba (Roger); Uncle to Billy, Jose Antonio, Lucy, Roger, Riva and Ryan, long time partner to Alicia Perez and step-father to Stevie Ruitto, Francie Szekely and Carisa Hinchliffe. William was born in Salinas, Puerto Rico to the late Jose and Maria Perez.
William was an avid music fan whose love for the arts was not only a personal passion but also a driving force in his life. As the proud owner of Belinda's, they created a space that brought together people from all walks of life, offering a stage for artists and music lovers alike. As a promoter, he worked tirelessly to bring live music to the community, always with an eye toward celebrating the diverse cultures that make life rich and vibrant. A true entrepreneur at heart, William was known for his hard work, vision, and commitment to building something meaningful. He had an unwavering love for his Puerto Rican culture, and his heritage and faith was a source of immense pride.
William will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his generosity, spirit, and passion. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations to celebrate music, culture, and community.
A visitation for William will be held Monday, May 19, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 14768 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, OH 44111. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM St. Patrick's Church, 3602 Bridge Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113. A Committal Service with full military honors will take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 9:45 AM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273. Please meet at the cemetery by 9:30 AM.
