Willie Mae Gross

Willie Mae Gross, age 73, of Cleveland, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
Willie Mae Gross, 73 passed away March 7, 2023 of natural causes. Willie
Mae was born March 13th 1949 to the parents of Ochelia Gross and Dock
Marks Jr. in Portland, Arkansas. Willie Mae's religion affiliation was baptist.
Willie Mae was a loving daughter, niece, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother,
and friend. In 1978 Willie Mae met Robert Schmidt. They united in
married in 1979 but divorced in 2001. No children resulted from this union.
Willie Mae worked at Morgan Linens Company for several years, and then
became self- employed. Willie Mae enjoyed fishing, dancing, singing, and
gardening. Willie Mae also loved cats. Willie Mae was a fun and loving soul
and will be remembered and missed by the many lives she touched.
Willie Mae was preceeded in Death by her only daughter Shelia Diane
Marks. Parents Dock Marks Jr. and Ochelia Marks, aunt Ophelia Bells,
brother Robert Lee Cheeks, and sister Rebecca Rose Bowie.
She leaves to cherish her memory, sisters Felicia Marks, Elizabeth Ann
Marks, and Joyce Marie Marks, sons Christopher Hampton and Michael
Lashaun Hampton, three dearest granddaughters Cecelia Sharday Marks,
Cheyenne Nicole Greene, and Taya Elaine Hampton. Along with a host
of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, and loving
friends. We will always love and miss you, until we meet again.
A visitation for Willie will be held Friday, March 17, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cummings & Davis Funeral Home, 13201 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, Ohio 44112. A wake will occur Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, 13201 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, Ohio 44112. A home going service will occur Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 2:30 PM, 13201 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, Ohio 44112.
