Arthur F. Golden of Clinton, CT, formally of Blauvelt, NY, passed away on November 19th, 2025, at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on October 7th, 1962, in Manhattan, New York.
Art graduated from Dominican College in 1984. In 1982, he joined the Blauvelt Volunteer Fire Company, where he rose through the ranks and served as Chief from 1991 to 1993. After a successful career in Operations, Art recently retired from Foundation Partners as a Senior Vice President.
Art was a devoted husband to his wife of 37 years, Mary (Kitchenman), and proud father of his daughter, Alexis, often known as his “mini me”. Together as a family, they spent many years vacationing in the Caribbean and Mexico together, playing cards at the kitchen table, and enjoying many glasses of red wine. Art taught Alexis everything he knew about sports through coaching her for many years and rooting for the New York Yankees and New York Rangers together. They often agreed on many things in life except when it came to football, where he would scream “J-E-T-S” and she responded “P-A-T-S”.
He spent his time skiing across the world with various friends, hosting endless events, often times serving as the Grill Master, and most recently could be found on his boat, Makin’ Waves, sharing many memories with his friends on “F” Dock at Pilot’s Point Marina. Art prioritized spending time with his loved ones and touched the lives of many. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it and would go out of his way to make anyone smile.
Art is survived by his loving wife, Mary of Clinton, CT, daughter Alexis Rose and her fiancé Zack Ryan of Denver, CO, and his sister Joy Ruggiero (Robert) of Tappan, NY. He is also survived by his cherished sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: John, Kathleen (Billy Luv), Michael (Kyle), and Maureen. Art always looked forward to spending time with his niece Ashley (Dan), nephews, Robert (Lillie) and Joseph (Ericka), and great-nephews Graham & Nolan.
Art was predeceased in death by his parents, Muriel and Frank Golden, brothers-in-law Thomas “T.J.” Kitchenman, and Robert Smith.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church in Clinton, CT, on Saturday, December 6th at 11AM.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Art’s honor to Blauvelt Volunteer Fire Company, 548 Western Highway, Blauvelt, New York 10913.
