Cailyn Bassett, 15 of Clinton, passed away December 7, 2012 in Middletown. She was born February 28, 1997 in New Haven. Cailyn is survived by her mother, Stephanie Phillips and her fiancé Lou Correia of Clinton and her father, Brian Bassett of Guilford, sisters, Jada and Angelina, brothers, Matthew and Micheal, maternal grandparents, James and Debra Phillips of Clinton, paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Joan Bassett, aunt, Michelle DeSanto and her husband Tony of S. Carolina, uncles, Ken Bassett and his wife Kriztina of S. Carolina, Doug Bassett and his wife Donna of Vernon, special cousin, Jamie Budzynski and her husband Justin of Georgia and many cousins. Cailyn was a sophomore at the Morgan High School in Clinton and also attended the VOAG program in Middletown for a short while. She was a talented and gifted writer and artist. She was a beautiful young girl with lots of personality, sass and always had twinkle in her eye. She had a wealth of friends and family, to numerous to mention that loved her just as much she loved them. Cailyn also spent most of her time at the Library after school she loved reading and of course going online and talking with her friends, she was a fan of Pac Man, Mario Bros and Ramen Noodles. Cailyn had a love for animals, she wanted to become a Vet and a writer. Family will receive friends from 930 AM until the time of service at 11 AM on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Church of The Open Door, 70 E. Main Street, Clinton CT 06413.
