On June 13, 2015, surrounded by his entire family Charles Ehrgott went to heaven. Born on April 14, 1930 in Jersey City N.J. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Joyce Ehrgott. Chuck has four loving daughters: Carol Joy Mika and her husband Daniel, Susan Luppino and her husband Carmen, Laura Lee Ehrgott and her husband Wolfang Englisch, and B.J. Ehrgott-Haab and her husband Bobby, three adoring grandchildren, Tanya, Sean and Jessica, and one great grandchild Mia Joy.
Chuck served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Cooper Union Art School in NYC and Newark College of Engineering in N.J. He was a Chemical and Professional Engineer with numerous patents.
He was a brilliant man with many talents. In addition to being a nationally ranked racquetball player, participating in tournaments throughout the country with his daughter B.J. His interests included billiards, woodworking, swimming and NY times crosswords. Above all Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family, especially spending every summer vacationing with the entire family on the beach in Ocean City N.J. We couldn’t have loved him more. The family will have a private gathering.
Being the Patriot that Chuck was, the family would like any donations sent to his favorite charity, Wounded Warrior Project or the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network.
