David R. Rice

RICE, DAVID David Robinson Rice, 76, of Clinton, formerly a long-time resident of Madison, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2011. He was born on April 15, 1935; he was the ninth and youngest child of Richard and Gladys (Blakeslee) Rice. He is survived by two siblings, his brother Richard L. Rice and sister Janice Cunningham. David was married for many years to the late Jane (Leah) W. Rice. He leaves behind their sons David M. Rice and Richard L. Rice of Clinton, their daughter Sandra R. Blaha and her husband Michael C. Blaha of Guilford, as well as his two adored grandchildren Adam C. Blaha and Kristen L. Blaha. He also leaves behind his faithful and beloved furry companion Duchess. Davis was past president and dedicated member of the New Haven Lions Club for many years. He will be missed by all. At David's request a memorial service to celebrate his life, loves and vast achievements will be held on a date to be announced.
