Dolores Machado of Westbrook, passed away at the age of 77 at Bride Brook Rehabilitation on February 17, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael A Machado. Dolores was born on October 7, 1937 in Providence, RI, daughter of late Mary Santos and Jose Alho. Dolores graduated from Providence High School and lived there for a total of 33 years until she moved to Westbrook, Connecticut, for three years. Then, she moved to Madison for thirteen years before moving back to Clinton for 26 years, then spending her last two years of her life back in Westbrook. Dolores was employed by the Lee Company where she retired from. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Church. She liked knitting, fishing, the beach specifically Narragansett Bay in RI, Point Judith, especially having clam cakes at Aunt Carrie’s Restaurant. Besides her predeceased husband, Dolores was predeceased by her brothers Jack Alho and Walter Michalik. She is survived by her only daughter, Michelle Lee (Machado) Farrell and son in-law Russell D. Farrell from Deep River. Family and friends may visit Swan Funeral Home 80 E. Main St. Clinton, CT 06413 on Saturday March 7, 2015 from 9-11 am with a Graveside Service to follow at the Resurrection Cemetery in Westbrook.
