Clinton - Ellsworth A. Apgar, 69, of Glenwood Rd., died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at his home with his family by his side. Mr. Apgar was born on October 12, 1950 in Middletown, the son of Albert and Ruth (King) Apgar. He married his love and best friend Gail Gilbert in 1981.
Music was his passion. He played professionally with numerous bands throughout the years. He brought much joy and happiness through his craft and talent.
Worth and Gail would like to thank their family and friends for their love and support which has given them strength. They would also like to thank the Clinton emergency responders for their professionalism, care and kindness. To thank all of the many doctors, nurses and aides that gave their special gifts to improve Worth’s quality of life. To thank Masonicare & Hospice for easing Worth’s final
journey.
They would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Superintendent Maryann O’Donnell, Assistant Superintendent Marco Famiglietti, as well as, Principal Angela Guarascio, Assistant Principal Abby Rice and Gail’s many colleagues at Joel for their generosity of heart and support.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00am in Branford Free Evangelical Church, 231 Leetes Island Rd., Branford, Ct 06405. Interment will follow in Indian River Cemetery, Clinton. Calling Hours will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 5:00 until 8:00pm in Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main St., Clinton, Ct. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heifer International or to commit to performing 10 random acts of kindness.
