Emil Leo Reinwald III

He was born on September 10, 1936, in Hartford, the son of Emil L. Reinwald, Jr., and Mildred Carrigan Reinwald.

Emil was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Jeannine M. Reinwald. They were married on November 9, 1957. Together they began their life in Rhode Island and then moved to Connecticut. They shared a lifetime of friends, travel and raising a family of four children.

Emil served in the US Navy. During his service time, he travelled the world, was on the Navy Swim Team, the softball team, and skied in the Alps. He was an avid pool and card player. He enjoyed his years vacationing in the Poconos and down in Ft Myers Beach, Florida. He shared his love for life with his smile to everyone he came across. His love for his family was known to all.

He is survived by his children Emil Leo (Patti) Reinwald, IV, Mary Ellen (Marc) Ierardi, Alice Lee, and Amy Pepler; grandchildren Jacqueline (Tom) Bilodeau, Maria Ierardi, Scott Ierardi, Andrew Lee, Daniel Lee, John Michael Lee, Joseph Lee, Mathew Lee, Kennedy Pepler, Michael Dean Pepler, Emil Leo (Jenna) Reinwald, V, and Stephanie Reinwald; great grandchildren Cameron Bilodeau, Madison and Abigail Lee; his sister and her husband, Alice & Walter Kiaunis and beloved nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Steven Lee.

Calling hours will be held on Monday January 16th from 4-8pm at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 17th at 10:30am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Beaver Brook Cemetery, Clinton. To sign the online guest book visit www.swanfh.com.
