
He was born in Toledo, Ohio to Elmer and Irene (North) Arnold. His family relocated to LaPorte, Indiana where he graduated from LaPorte High School. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force. Upon completing his service, he attended Indiana University in Bloomington, earning a bachelor’s degree in business. While at Indiana University he was a member of the Chi Phi Fraternity. He later received his master’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University and pursued a career in Human Resources, working at several universities.
He was an accomplished soccer referee, officiating at youth, high school, college, and semi-professional levels.
He is survived by his son Todd Arnold, daughter-in-law Jodi (Love) Arnold, and two grandchildren, Emily and Joshua Arnold. He is also survived by his sister Tonethe Mugg, and nieces Martha Bailey and Susan Tison. He is predeceased by his parents and his wife, Marie (DiCamillo) Arnold.
A longtime resident of Warner, New Hampshire, Frederic was a member of Warner’s Men’s Club, an avid antiques collector, and active in local, state, and national politics. He was also an enthusiastic Indiana University basketball fan who loved critiquing both the play and the officiating while watching televised games.
