

Gail Kuziak, 87, passed on January 18, 2025, in Danbury, CT with her family by her side. Gail was born January 14, 1938, to James and Verabel (Fulton) Manion in Stamford, CT. Gail married her beloved husband Victor Kuziak on October 25, 1958, and built a wonderful life with their three children first in Yonkers, NY and later in Killingworth, CT. Gail and Victor were married for 53 years before Victor’s passing in 2012.
Gail was a faithful Orthodox Christian and an active member of St. Alexis Orthodox Church in Clinton, CT where sang in the choir. She and Victor were founding members of the parish and instrumental in its growth. Previously, she was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox church in Meriden, CT and Holy Trinity Orthodox church in Yonkers, NY.
What brought Gail the most joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.
Gail loved nothing more than a good game of Sequence, cards or bingo. She liked bird watching, attending musicals at the Goodspeed Opera House and was an avid tennis fan. In addition, Gail belonged to the Elks Club in Westbrook, CT.
Gail and her husband enjoyed traveling and enjoyed many trips together. In recent years she loved wintering in Vero Beach, FL and Vieques, Puerto Rico at the homes of her sons. Especially dear to her were the annual vacations the entire family has taken together for the last 30 years.
As well as her parents and husband, Gail is predeceased by her sister, Barbara McQuillan.
Gail will be missed by her three children, Susan Sulich (Paul), of New Fairfield, CT, Michael Kuziak (Dori) of Vero Beach, FL, and Douglas Kuziak (Candy) of Lebanon, CT. She leaves behind her loving grandchildren Melissa, Paul, Melanie, Connor, Madeline and Matthew, and her great-grandchildren Aidan and Ryan. She is also survived by her nephew, Jeff and niece Jill.
A wake will be held at St. Alexis Orthodox Christian Church, located at 108 East Main St, Clinton, CT, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 4-7 pm. A Funeral service for Gail will be held at St. Alexis Orthodox Christian Church on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 10 am. A luncheon will follow at the Gelston House (8 Main St. East Haddam, CT). A private graveside service for the family will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11am at Mt. Hope Cemetery, located at 50 Jackson Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706.
