George was born November 11, 1950 in Middletown, CT to the late George D. Nadeau, Sr. and Marilyn Melonson Nadeau who ultimately settled with their family in Clinton, CT.
After graduating from Morgan High School in Clinton, George worked most of his life as a Master Carpenter, employed for the last 13 years by Novak Brothers in East Haddam, CT.
He enjoyed cabinet building and loved creating heirlooms for his family. He spent much of his time rebuilding pickup trucks and had a truck in almost every color of the rainbow much to his friend's and children’s amusement.
George is survived, and will be dearly missed, by his 3 daughters: Christina Wherley of Marathon, Florida; Emily Mae Nadeau and partner Zachariah Perkins of Branford, CT; and Katey Rae Nadeau of Uncasville, CT.
He is also survived by his friend and partner of the past 35 years Sherri Schweitzer of Uncasville, CT; his 3 sisters Kathleen Mook of Deep River, CT, her children Donna Mook and Bill Zesner and her grandaughter Kaela Mook; Sherry Classey and husband Eddie, and their children Bonnie Jean and Donald; Bonne Burrone of Northport, Florida; his brother, Roy Nadeau and Roy's son Roy, Jr. He was also predeceased by his parents and his younger brother Donald Nadeau.
Always friendly and helpful, George was loved by everyone he met and was known for his quirky sense of humor. He was devoted to and so proud of his three daughters.
Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 23rd, at 11:00 AM Directly in the Indian River Cemetery, Clinton.
George will be laid to rest next to his mother, father, and brother in a family plot.
