Born on October 26, 1958, in Connecticut, Hillary was raised in Orange, where she spent her early years surrounded by family and lifelong friendships. She later made her home in Clinton, where she built a life centered on family, work, and simple joys.
Hillary spent much of her career as a paralegal, respected for her sharp mind, attention to detail, and quiet determination.
Outside of work, Hillary found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved the beach and treasured time spent by the water, where she felt most at peace. Florida held a special place in her heart, offering sunshine and comfort she always looked forward to. She also loved gardening and took pride in caring for her plants and flowers. Hillary was a longtime New York Yankees fan and enjoyed cheering them on whenever she could. She was cherished by many friends, who loved her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor.
Above all, Hillary was a devoted mother. She worked tirelessly to provide for her children, Sage Vigliarolo and Alexa Chojnacki, who were the center of her world.
She is also survived by her brothers, Riccardo and Harlan Salmona, and was predeceased by her parents, Georgette and Stelio Salmona.
Hillary will be remembered for her strength, her love of family, and the warmth she shared with everyone around her. Though ALS took much from her, it never diminished her spirit or the love she carried for those she loved.
Services will be announced once scheduled.
