He also left his brother-in-law, Thomas Kinnane and wife, Lucy, of Newington. He had countless numbers of friends, who in his world were his extended family. His most beloved memories involved time with his family – every single one of them – especially the Diaz, Vasas, Hill, Santiago, Antell and Davis Families –providing him some of his most laugh-filled times. The party didn’t start until Jim arrived! A quick smile and jovial ways, big “Pappa (aka Chicago forever!) bear hug, talk of sporting events, the ‘boys and their toys’ was his signature style. He gave everyone his attentions, kind and caring ways, loyalty. This was received back a millions times over. Jim loved his entrepreneurial days of owning and operating Diamond, Phoenix, and Winton Advertising. His employees and co-workers were his chosen family all the way. Never was there a dull moment to be had! And when the economy changed everyone’s life, he reached out to the community of Clinton he so loved. Jim and the family believed in serving their community. Jim served on numerous boards and commissions, political groups, worthy community activities and with the youth of Clinton throughout the years. Spending many hours with the Clinton Emergency Medical Services (CVFD), he offered his EMS skills, laughter and care to those in need. He touched so many lives in his short time here, and for this, we are all exceptionally grateful! He loved his clients and co-workers at Clinton’s Gilead House. Moving from there to Connecticut Valley Hospital to again offer his ‘gift’ to clients and co-workers. He gave it his all and respected each and every member of the community served. Jim had fond memories of earlier life with Cheryl and their time in Illinois and Guilford, CT. He was proud to have served with the U.S. Air Force in Chanute, Illinois.
