Jean Ann Gaylord

GAYLORD, JEAN A. Jean A. Gaylord, 69, loving wife of Harold “Bud” Gaylord of Westbrook passed away unexpectedly in her New Hampshire home. Born in Hartford on May 14, 1947, Jean is the daughter of the late Fred and Ida (Smith) Young. She leaves behind her husband of 25 years, and her four children Julie Mylott, Ginger Cashman and her husband Thomas, Heather Dowd and her husband Matthew and Tracy McDonnell and her husband Jim. She also leaves behind 5 grandsons Joseph, Christopher and Charles Dowd and Jacob and Benjamin McDonnell. Jean also leaves behind her sister June Oliveira and her husband Salvino, her brother Lester Young and his wife Gloria and her sister Linda Fitzpatrick and her husband Lee; her best friends Joe and Cathy Mullen; and her canine companion Lucky. Jean was employed by the CT Water Company before joining The Lee Company, where she worked until her retirement in 2013. After her retirement, Jean spent her free time enjoying both her Connecticut and New Hampshire homes, reading her books and enjoying the outdoors. She was a loving and caring woman who loved her family and friends more than words can describe. She will be missed by all that knew her. A memorial service will be held on September 10, 2016 at the First Congregational Church of Westbrook at 3:30 p.m. All are invited to join the family and celebrate Jeans life and the memories that were created.
