Jeanne H. Kennedy

Jeanne Hoover Kennedy, 96 of Hebron, formerly of Clinton, passed away peacefully on March 18th. Born in Burlington Iowa on October 3rd, 1925, she was the daughter of Clifford Hoover and Jeannette Barbuto.

The family moved to New Have CT, when Jeanne was young. She attended schools in New Haven and graduated from Hillhouse High School. Through her life she worked a variety of jobs, including the Southern New England Telephone Company, The Clinton School system, and Contel Inc.

In 1957 she married Joseph Kennedy. They shared 29 years together until he predeceased her in 1986.

She is survived by her son Donald and his wife Theresa of Colchester and her pride and joy, her grandsons Ryan of Skaneateles NY, Sean, and Brendan both of Colchester. And her favorite cousin Paul Boyle and his wife Lee of East Haven.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Regis Kennedy-Allen and her husband Christopher Allen.

Care of arrangements has been entrusted to the Swan’s Funeral Home in Clinton. Calling hours will be on Friday March 25th, from 5:00 PM to 6:00PM, followed immediately by a service at the Funeral Home.
