

John was born in Washington D.C. on January 10, 1958. John later resided in Orange, Guilford and Clinton, CT.
John spent his working career repairing x ray equipment in Texas and Connecticut. He most recently was employed by Imaging Services as the New England Branch manager, repairing, and maintaining x-ray machines.
During the late 70s and early 80s, John was the manager of the band Poodle Boys. The group was written up in Life magazine. John was very proud of this achievement which included a full-page picture of the band.
In his spare time, John enjoyed fishing, crabbing, telling stories of his adventures throughout his life including trips to Japan and Italy as well as climbing on ice fields in Canada.
For the past decade, he and his wife loved spending time at their cottage in Virginia where he was able to crab off their dock and cook his famous crab sauce for his friends whom he loved like family. John enjoyed spending time with his lifelong friends, often saying that his wealth was in his friendships.
John was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Jane (Rutherford) Levine.
Besides his wife, Amy of 19 years, and his cherished dog Misha, he is survived by his sister Elizabeth Braun of West Virginia, niece Mikayla Braun of New Orleans, Aunt Carol Levine of New York City, Uncle Palmer Rutherford, step mother Jeralea Hesse of Hamden, as well as several cousins, and in laws.
All services for John will be private.
A celebration of his life with family and friends to be announced in the future.
