John R Pryor Jr., 42, of Clinton since 1976, passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2013. John was born on January 17, 1971 in Bridgewater, NJ to John (Dick) Pryor of Madison, CT and the late Paulette Stabile Pryor. He attended Xavier High School and graduated from Morgan High School in 1989. John was former owner of American Auto and Truck and owner of American Waste and Recycling.

He was an active member of the Elks Lodge #1784 and John was an avid boater and snowmobiler. He will be remembered most for his great sense of humor, sarcasm, and extraordinary generosity.

He is survived and will be dearly missed by his daughter Amanda Pryor; son John Pyror; “Brothers of the Heart” Harry McBrien and Jerry Blair; his adopted step father Dave Malazzi (Grumpy) and his step mother Roberta Hanlon and many many more friends and colleagues and relatives.

Family and friends may visit the Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton on Friday January 10, 2014 from 4-8pm at the Clinton Swan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, UCC, 1166 Boston Post Rd, Westbrook at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Families Helping Families, P.O. Box 166, Clinton, CT 06413.
