My thoughts and prayers reach out to the family and friends of Joe Cotrona. I had the honor and privilege to know Joe through the National Day of Prayer where he was his town’s coordinator for the year ‘s event to pray for our nation. It was a joy to join heart and spirit with him as he planned for the event and sought our God’s mercy, grace and love to touch his town and our great nation. May God’s love, strength and peace touch you all now and in the days ahead.

Joe's mother, my Aunt Florence was my mother's sister. Although he was older than I was, he would always find time to talk with me. Made me feel special. He was a kind and gentle soul with a zest for life. I have pleasant memories of him. RIP Joe

Hello. I have fond memories of my first cousin, Joe. My mother. Julia Catrone, my mother, was sister to Florence, Joe’s mother. My mom would order by phone her groceries every week. Then, we would pick them up at my Uncle Pep’s (Joseph) store on Springdale Avenue. It was called Cotrona’s Market. Pep would give me an ice cream sandwich and Joe or Junie would carry our groceries to our car. He was such a pleasant man and quite talented. Rest In Peace. Rosalie Benedetto Mierzejewski.

Joe was a kind soul. I always enjoyed chatting with him after church or at men’s breakfasts. Prayers for the family.
