Katherine Irene Hearn

Kathy died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 27, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. She was 59 years young at the time of her passing. Kathy enjoyed traveling extensively and spending time with family and friends. Her travels continued during her four-year treatment for ovarian cancer, including sojourns to Argentina, Peru and an Africian photo safari. Kathy grew up in Scarsdale, NY and received her Bachelors of Nursing from Marquette University and her Masters of Public Administration from New York University. She was a hospital administrator at Yale New Haven Hospital and had many hobbies and interests, including photography, knitting and Alanon.

Kathy is survived by a wealth of brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and her best friend, Jim Shea. Her funeral arrangements are as follows:

Visitation hours will be Friday, April 1, 2016 from 4pm to 7pm at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main Street, Clinton, CT 06413.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11 am at Grace Episcopal Church, 336 Main Street, Old Saybrook, CT 06475.
