

Leslie Frances Munrett Lloyd, of Westbrook, CT, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Gladeview Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Old Saybrook, CT, after battling an aggressive form of cancer.
Leslie was born in Mount Vernon, NY on January 15, 1947, and grew up in Pound Ridge, NY. She was the oldest daughter of the late Lester John Francis Munrett, Jr. and Olga Harriet (Miller) Munrett. She is survived by her college sweetheart and beloved husband of 58 years, Robert Lloyd Sr.; her son Robert Lloyd, Jr. and his wife, Lori; her granddaughters Alexis and Brooke Lloyd, and grandson Zachary Lloyd; and her sister Harriet Munrett Wolfe.
Leslie graduated from Fox Lane High School in Bedford, NY, and attended the University of Bridgeport, where she majored in art history, and where she and Robert met. During her career, she worked in various positions in advertising and marketing, starting with Glendinning Associates in Westport, CT. She took time out from her career to raise their son, Rob.
Beyond work, Leslie was an accomplished artist and had a gift for color and design. She loved to travel with her husband and loved “girls' trips” with her sister. Her interests over the years included breeding, raising, and showing champion Saint Bernards and other breeds; sailing New England and the Northeast; and playing golf with her family and friends.
Leslie will always be remembered for her warmth and generosity, kindness and intelligence, and her quick and funny sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones, friends, and those who have known her over the years.
Her family expresses their deep gratitude to the medical providers at Middlesex Health Hospital, in Middletown, CT, and to the compassionate and highly skilled nurses in Middlesex’s Intensive Care Unit and Comfort Care Center, and the Middlesex Health Hospice and Palliative Care team. The family would also like to thank the team at Gladeview Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Calling hours will be held on October 23, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E Main Street, Clinton, CT.
A celebration of Leslie’s life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
