After retiring as a geriatric nurse, Linda dedicated much of her time to breeding and caring for her Labrador Retrievers, which brought her great joy and companionship. She also loved gardening, watching cooking shows, and preparing cherished family recipes, both old and new.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Roger and Betty Orensteen of Edina, Minnesota and her first husband, John A. DeCarlo of Clinton, Connecticut.
She is survived by her husband, Theodore Dobin of Clinton, Connecticut; her children, John DeCarlo and his wife, Monica of Katy, Texas; Kris DeCarlo and his wife, Shelby of Westbrook, Connecticut; Nicole (DeCarlo) Martone of Cheshire, Connecticut; and Jillian DeCarlo of Old Saybrook, Connecticut. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Domenic Martone, Gianna Martone, Cierra Brundage, Grayson DeCarlo, and Colton DeCarlo; her siblings, Steven Orensteen, Lisa Greenberg, William Orensteen, Lori Hassan, and Michael Orensteen; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Linda’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. There will be a memorial service at Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main Street, Clinton, Connecticut, at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
