

Linda L (Barden) Snelgrove of Clinton, CT passed away peacefully on May 4th, 2016 at The Madison House, Madison, CT after a difficult and courageous battle with a long illness. Born in Middlebury, CT on May 6th 1951, she moved to the shoreline in 1973 to seek her fortune. Linda is survived by her loving husband, caregiver and best friend Pete Snelgrove.
Affectionately nicknamed “Too Tall”, Linda was a former employee of Bill”s Seafood Restaurant in Westbrook, CT where her infectious laugh, along with her sharp wit and comedic timing behind the bar was legendary. As a very knowledgeable and talented Master Gardener, she took great pride in sharing and showcasing those talents. Linda organized and ran Clinton’s first Farmers Market and was extremely proud of the great success the market had.
Her strength, determination and humor when faced with extremely difficult obstacles over the last few years was admired by all who knew and her. She leaves behind a deep void for all of us who were fortunate to have her as a friend.
There will be calling hours at Swan Funeral Home, Clinton, CT on Tuesday, May 17th from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by a gathering to celebrate Linda’s life at Bill’s Seafood in Westbrook, CT.
