Dr. MaryJane Caporale

February 27, 1950April 9, 2018

Dr. MaryJane Caporale, 68 of New London, formerly of Clinton, beloved wife of Robert A. Caporale, passed away on Monday April 9, 2018 at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London after a brief illness. Born in Mt. Vernon, NY on February 27, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Phil and Lucy (Gozzi) Buglione.

MaryJane earned her Bachelor’s degree from Middlesex Community College, her Masters degree from Southern Connecticut State College and her Doctorate from Walden University. She was a research scientist for Bristol-Meyer Squibb in Wallingford before her retirement. MaryJane was a founding member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department, she enjoyed traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She always put others in front of her own needs.

Besides her husband Bob of 49 years, she is survived by her four children; Robert A. Caporale Jr. and his wife Chrystal of Niantic, Donna D’Amico and her husband Darrel of Clinton, Stephanie Helie and her husband Michael of Clarksville, TN and Deborah Welch and her husband Thomas of Rockland, MA. Nine grandchildren; Darrel Jr., Jackie, Ray, Chris, Bobby, Brittany, Zavier, Evan and Thomas. Eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Friday April 13th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Swan Funeral Home. 80 E. Main St in Clinton. Funeral service immediately following at 12:00 pm. Burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Clinton
