Ronald W Pendleton

He was born on December 9, 1945, in Middletown, the son of Leon Everett and Dorothy Evelyn (Kroupa) Pendleton.

Ron graduated from Vinal Tech High School in Middletown, and promptly started working in carpentry 3 days later. In 1976 he opened his own contracting business, Pendleton Builders, Inc. He built and remolded many custom homes during his 34 years in business and his son worked along side him for 25 of those years. He was an active member of the Clinton Volunteer Fire Dept. and ended his long tenure there being a captain.

Ron was a true craftsman, celebrated by his long time contracting business, Pendleton Builders and later by the beautiful custom furniture he created in his beloved woodworking shop. All who knew him, know his passion for woodworking came straight from his heart and traveled out his hands into beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces.

An avid golfer and member of the Clinton Country Club for 26 years. Ron thoroughly enjoyed his time on the golf course, especially the 19th hole with his friends.

Having a small lake cottage, Ron also became an avid fisherman.

Whatever his hobby, Ron enjoyed it to the fullest and will truly be missed by his loving family and all that knew him.

Ron is survived by his wife Cathy. His son, Tim Pendleton and his fiancé Candy Glowac, of Killingworth. His daughter, Debbie Pendleton Terschuren, of Old Saybrook and her husband Paul Terschuren, of Pleasanton, Ca. His step-son Rudy Kornatz and his girlfriend Ruthie Browne, of Clinton. His four grandsons, Justin and Alex Barden and Chase and Colby Pendleton. Ron is predeceased by his brother Gerry and his first wife Melanie.

Funeral services are private. However, a celebration of Ron’s life will be held at Rocky’s Aqua on Monday, June 15th at 1pm, open to all who loved him. 34 Riverside Dr, Clinton.
