Dr. Ronald N. Wentworth passed away on July 16th, 2018 from complications of Parkinson's disease. He was a good, kind, hard-working man who loved his family very much. He was born in Weymouth, MA in 1941 to Nelson E. and Emily M. Wentworth. He was proud of his PhD in Industrial Engineering from Perdue University and of his work as a professor of Industrial Engineering at the University of New Haven. He became chairman of the department prior to his retirement.
He was married to the love of his life, Janet S. Wentworth in 1975 and settled in Clinton, CT to raise their family. He was an active member in Freemasons and was a past master of Jeptha Lodge #95 in Clinton. He was also a member of Eastern Star with Olive Branch Chapter #87 in Madison CT. Later in life he developed Parkinson's disease, which caused him to lose his independence and mobility. However, he was able to discover his love of painting and maintained a love of cars throughout his life. He was blessed to be able to attend his youngest daughter, Jennifer's, wedding in April of this year.
He is predeceased by his parents, and by his wife Janet. He is survived by his daughter Alison Vance (William) of Seymour, CT, his son Todd Wentworth (Sarah) of East Hampton, CT, and his daughter Jennifer Pascale (Donny) of North Haven, CT. He is also survived by grandchildren Krystal, Joseph, and Peyton Wentworth. And he is also survived by a brother, Donald Wentworth and several nieces and nephews.
