Samuel Ethan Burr

Samuel Ethan Burr August 9th 1986 to October 10th 2014. Sam died peacefully in his sleep on the morning of October 10th. His solar presence illuminated all those with whom he crossed paths. He was the treasured son of Howard Burr and Marguerite Shore, cherished brother of Daisy Burr, nephew of Christine Burr Correa, Randall and Mary Burr, Robin and James Smith, Alison and Richard Dundy, James and Beryl Shore, cousin of Andrew Correa, Cheryl Burr Blenk, Randall Burr, Kenneth, Dana and Jennifer Loiselle, Josephine Defusco, and Jacob and Madeleine Shore. Sam was a graceful, inquisitive and insightful writer, moving songwriter and singer, and lover of animals and beauty in all forms. Family and friends may visit the Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton on Wednesday October 15 from 3-6pm. There will be a private burial at Indian River Cemetery, Friday October 17th 10am, and a memorial service and reception at Trinity Church, Wall Street, New York, NY, Saturday October 18th 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship fund in his name at the Deck House School. Tax deductible donations can be made .
