Scott H. Reynolds, 63, of Taftville, CT passed away on December 6, 2023, after a brief illness, with his family by his side. Scott was born in Middletown, CT on October 1, 1960 to William and Marilyn (Hajek) Reynolds.
Scott was a 1978 graduate of Xavier High School in Middletown, CT. Scott joined the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Company (KVFC) in 1975 and he rose through the ranks to become Rescue Captain from 1982 to 1987. He was also a member of the Killingworth Volunteer Ambulance Association, where he began his 24 year career as an EMT. Scott left the fire company in 1990 to continue his public service with American Ambulance of Norwich, CT, and as a chair member of the Norwich Diocese Firefighter/EMS Mass.
During his time at KVFC, he met the love of his life, Annette. They were married on July 12, 1980, at the same fire house, and shared a life together in Killingworth and Taftville, where they went on to raise their three children.
Along with his loving wife of 43 years, Scott leaves behind his children Scott (Jr.) and Crystal Reynolds, Megan (Reynolds) and Dave Gardner, Samantha (Reynolds) and Anthony Restivo, and his grandson Trenton Reynolds. Besides the many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins that Scott had in his life, he will also be missed by his brothers-in-law, Ron (Connie) Harris and Mike (Tricia) Harris, his sister-in-law, Nancy Mathiason, and his mother-in-law, Elizabeth “Betsy” Harris. Scott was predeceased by his parents and father-in-law, and mentor, Wilson “Red” Harris.
Scott will be dearly missed by his immediate and extended family. A celebration of Scott's life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the KVFC headquarters, 333 Route 81, Killingworth, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Company.
