

Veronica was born August 29th, 1931, in New Lexington Ohio, she was the oldest daughter of Paul and Mary Green and had two sisters and one brother. Veronica was beautiful, feisty and strong. She was known in her youth as “Boxer Bonnie Green.” Veronica attended The Saint Aloysius Academy graduating with honors and enjoyed being a valuable member of the basketball team.
In 1957 Veronica left Ohio to move to New Haven Connecticut to join the Nationwide Insurance Company. Veronica fully embraced life in New England, worked as a model made lifelong friends, joined the Owenego club in Branford and later met the love of her life Julian Jacobs.
The couple were married in 1960 and built their dream home in the woods of Clinton Connecticut where they raised 5 Children.
Veronica was a devoted wife and mother who was known for her creativity. Veronica enjoyed decorating her home, making stained glass creations, hand sewing Halloween costumes, baking delicious toll house cookies and whipping up angel food cake heaped with strawberries.
Veronica was a devout Catholic, active in her church, and a member of the Westbrook Elks Club. Veronica loved to travel and enjoyed her job at the Shoreline Clinic for more than a decade.
Veronica was predeceased by her husband Julian Jacobs of 59 years and daughter Michelle Jacobs both of Clinton Connecticut. Veronica leaves behind her children; Gregory Jacobs of Massachusetts, Jennifer Jacobs Carter of California, Christopher Jacobs of Connecticut and Julie and Arthur Sierputoski of Massachusetts. Additionally, Veronica leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Easter Seals Camp Hemlocks a Residential Camp for children with special needs.
