Frances Duncan Dawson

Frances Duncan Dawson, 73, of Clinton, MS, was born in Flour Bluff, TX on March 4, 1938 and departed this life on December 16, 2011. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a retired kindergarten teacher and a member of Morrison Heights Baptist Church.

Mrs. Dawson was predeceased by a son, W. Bruce Dawson and parents, Walter L. Duncan and Jessie R. Duncan and a daughter-in-law, Marie S. Dawson. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John W. Dawson of Clinton, a son, Randal D. Dawson of Raymond, two daughters, Dawn Dawson Barrett and Chris Barrett of Tylertown, and Michele Dawson Stevens and Charles M. Stevens, Jr. of Pearl, and a daughter-in-law, Renee’ Dawson of Brandon, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters and a brother, Delores and Robert Jones of Dallas, TX, Pat Bailey of Lead Hill, AR, and Robert L. and Donna Duncan of Mesquite, TX.

Visitation will be 5-7pm Monday December 19, 2011 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home located at 106 Cynthia Street, Clinton, MS and the funeral service will be 11:00am Tuesday, December 20, 2011 preceded by visitation at 10am. Burial will follow at Brownsville Cemetery in Brownsville, MS.
