

He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Services will be held at 12:30p.m. on Sunday, November 3rd at the chapel of Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton,MS. Visitation will begin at 10:30a.m. Interment will be at 3:30p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez, MS.
Cotton was born to Hazel and Earl Williams of Thaxton, MS on February 28, 1929. He was preceded in death by his parents ,and brother Phillip David Williams. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dot Williams; son Mickey (Judi) Williams of Byram, MS; daughter Martha Hopper of Clinton, MS; son, Jerry (Lucy) of Natchez,MS; seven granddaughters, and 17 great grandchildren.He also has two brothers, Bobby Jo Williams (Nell) of Cherokee, AL, and Johnny Williams of Terry, MS.
He retired from Ergon, after 44 years of service, but continued to work in the field of construction until 2012. His hobbies included antique cars, watching Nascar racing, and spending time at the “old home place” Thaxton, MS. He was a long time member of Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton, MS. He was also a member of the Antique Vehicle Club of Mississippi.
