Margaret Sue Williams Chapman went to heaven to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 29th, 2013. She was 83 years old. She was re-united with her beloved parents, Lowry and Lillian Williams, her baby brother who died when a toddler, and the love of her life, her precious husband, James Lewis.
Those who are left on earth, but who are assured through God’s promises, that we will be with her again are: Her Sister – Genevieve Adams, husband John and nephew David; Her daughter – Susan Clifford, husband Tim and grandchildren Matthew and Lauren; Her Son – Larry, wife Teri and grandson Bart; Her Daughter – Jamie Ainsworth, husband Ray and grandson Justin.
We know that God is love and love last, and love is eternal. We do not grieve as those who have no hope. She left a testament to love by her life.
She loved her grandchildren as if they were her children and they loved her dearly. We are so thankful for all the happy moments and memories she was instrumental in creating for her family.
Margaret was born in Madison County on March 17, 1930. She was valedictorian of her high school class at Flora High School. She worked as an accountant at BellSouth for many years. She had a beautiful voice to sing praises in her church, Lula Baptist Church and she taught a men’s Sunday school class for many years. She was artistic and grew some of the most beautiful flowers in Madison County. She married James Lewis in November 1950 and was married to him for 63 years. They had been friends since early childhood. She devoted her life to her family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Diane Ferguson, Merry Hearts Sitters, Health Care Medical and the Home Health nurses for their professionalism and compassion.
