Myra was born on December 17, 1929, in Lena, Mississippi, to Alfred C. and Mattie Ola Babb Wallace. She graduated from Lena High School where she played basketball. She moved to Jackson, Mississippi, where she met the love of her life, L. C. Robinson, and married on June 17, 1949. She loved to travel, enjoying the many places to which she moved with her husband while he was in the Army. She was an excellent seamstress, making most of the clothes for her two daughters and herself, including full wardrobes for their Barbie dolls. She never met a stranger and had an infectious smile and laugh. She was a good listener only giving helpful advice when asked.
Myra was a loving, devoted, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who found abundant joy in her family and friends. Her compassionate servant’s heart, strong faith in the Lord, strength and perseverance were an example and encouragement to those that knew her.
Myra is preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother, Annette Wallace, her sisters, Gladys Bennett and Doylene Wallace, and her brothers, James Wallace and Larry Wallace.
She is survived by her husband, L. C. Robinson of Clinton, her daughter Debbie (Dave) Cook of Albuquerque, NM, her daughter Pam (Lanny) Landrum of Clinton, grandchildren: Christy (Brian) Kearney and Andrew (Alicia) Cook of Albuquerque, NM, and Scott Landrum, David (Daphne) Landrum, and Misti (Steven) Walters, of Clinton.
