Alfred Herman Armstrong Jr.
April 14, 1951 – February 3, 2019

Alfred Herman Armstrong, Jr. was born to the union of Alfred Herman Senior and Louise Jewell Armstrong on April 14, 1951, in Detroit Michigan. Alfred was educated in Detroit Public Schools System, where he later went on to serve in the United States Army from 1970-1976. He received Honorable Discharge with numerous awards and medals.
In later years during his journey Alfred married Sharon Reeves. To this union two children were born Alfred Herman Armstrong III and Rhondnia Carlene Armstrong. Later in life Alfred fathered three more children, Kristen and Kelly Pate (Phyllis Pate) and Alfred Herman Armstrong IV (Keely Scott).
Alfred worked at General Motors, Massey Ferguson, and the Renaissance Center as a construction worker. After his work with these companies he held small jobs until 2008. He was always willing to help anybody at any time.
Alfred accepted Christ at an early age where he attended Ebenezer AME Church. In 2005 he joined Trinity Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Dr. Drew E. Marshall. He continued his membership under Senior Pastor Dr. John D. Tolbert where he attended bible study, men’s ministry, and Sunday school. Alfred was loved and known for having a caring and giving heart, having a good time, building model cars, laughing, dancing, drawing, and joking around.
Alfred’s sister Patricia Ann Nunn Casey preceded him in death. He leaves a lifetime of love and memories to: His children Alfred (Ronette) Armstrong III, Rhondania (Phillip) Rush, Kristen and Kelly Pate, and Alfred Armstrong IV; brother Louis Nunn, Jr., sister Carlene Warren, niece Louise J (Michael) Nunn Walton, cousins Pier Mitchell, Henry and Floyd Webb, Denis, Robert and George Huggins, Thelma Mckinney, god brother Robert Morgan, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Memorial services for Alfred will take place on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10 AM at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 113-123 Wessen Street, Pontiac, MI 48341.
