Alice M. Popovich passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Charles “Chuck” Popovich, devoted mother of David (Tracy) Popovich and Rebecca (Christopher) Popovich, and cherished grandmother of Angela and Elizabeth Popovich.
Alice was a woman with a personality all her own. She was wonderfully sassy, quick-witted, and never afraid to share her sharp sense of humor. Those who knew and loved her will remember her for her strong personality, her clever wit, and the many laughs she brought to the lives of those around her.
Alice enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She loved to read, listen to Motown classics, and spend time surfing the web. She enjoyed watching a variety of crime shows, as well as programs dedicated to rescuing and caring for animals, especially those featured on TLC and the Discovery Channel. Her love for animals, and cats in particular, was a very special part of who she was.
For nearly two decades, Alice fostered cats, opening her heart and home to countless animals in need. She was truly a cat lady in every sense of the word. Her beloved kitty, Megan, was especially dear to her and will remain a treasured reminder of Alice’s compassionate heart and love for animals.
Alice and her husband, Chuck, shared many wonderful memories together. They often enjoyed road trips to Nova Scotia, Canada, where they visited family and made lasting memories along the way. They also enjoyed taking special trips to Dairy Queen, one of Alice’s favorite places to go. These simple outings became treasured moments that her family will carry with them always.
Alice will be deeply missed by her loving children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Services for Alice were held privately.
