Alphonse Shukwit, age 90, passed away peacefully Sunday evening on March 1, 2026. He was the loving husband of the late Deanna. The beloved father of Christine and John (Angela) Shukwit. The dear grandfather of Tyler and Parker.
He found his greatest peace in his boat on Lake St. Clair, and in honoring his lifelong love of fishing, his family will fulfill his wish to have his ashes returned to the lake.
A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to Heart to Heart Hospice, 5990 N Adams Rd, Troy, MI 48098.
