Ann was so loved by our family. We grew up with Johnny and their home was always our favorite place to have parties. Mrs. Costa would be upstairs with Mr. Costa and a couple of friends throwing cards around. Laughing and having a great time. As we grew older, we became extremely close to the entire Costa clan. My first "real" job was as Steve Panag's secretary! We were always made to feel like family. Especially at Greek Easter celebrations that our children grew up attending too! Mr. Costa & Steve C. cooking the lamb & chicken over the fire outside-snow or sun! We would eat the meat right off the skewer outside. We loved Ann's wit, sense of humor and sarcasm. She was beautiful and strong and loved her family more than anything. She and I used to golf together and she loved beating me! We had many talks about life & love as we had a special friendship. She was Chuck's 2nd Mom so she didn't hesitate scolding Chuck when he would get into mischief with Johnny. Even the day of John & Chris's wedding when they were running late! Chuck said he thought it was normal-Greek time. She loved to have lots of people around her that made her laugh. Later in life, my sister Denice, had the honor of looking after Ann who lived close by. They bonded quickly and became very close. When we heard the news of Ann's passing, our entire family was in tears which we soon turned to laughter by our reminiscing. How she would want it to be. I know she's in heaven and reunited with Mr. Costa. They were so in love and the kindest parents on earth. When I grow up to be 90, I want to be just like her! It will be difficult to say good-bye and we are sorry we can't be with you right now. But we are there in spirit. I will light a candle at church tomorrow & say a prayer...God be with your children as they bid farewell.
Rest now in peace Ann, our dear friend and 2nd Mom. May the perpetual light shine upon you always.
Love, Colette & Chuck Russell

My Yiayia Ann was the BEST lady I knew!! She was so funny and loved me so much! I will always remember as a little girl playing with her makeup and wedding dress. When I was getting married we went shopping for wedding stuff. And she kept telling me I was "too flashy like my mother". Then she pinched me and started laughing! And everytime I would go over to her house we would have banana split sundaes! Rest in peace Koukla Mou! I hope someday to be half the woman you were!! I'll never forget you!!!
