Anton (Tony) Jonathan Bering, of Clinton Township, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019. Tony was born October 8, 1987, to Rosemary & Anton Bering. He will be sadly missed by his father; Anton Bering, his sister; Bianca Bering, his grandmother; Charlotte Klein, his Uncle; Daniel (Laura) Klein, his Uncle; Wolfgang (Christa) Bering, his Aunt; Sonja (Tony) Caprarese & his cousins; Michael, Nicholas, Mark, Christopher, Noelle, Sarah and Anna.

Tony was baptized at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Warren, where he would later be confirmed. He was great at math and science and graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics and a 3.5 GPA.

His German heritage played a big part in his life. He began dancing in the Saxon Youth Group at the age of three and in 1994, at the age of seven, went on to become an active member of the Carpathia Youth Group.

Tony’s favorite things were cars, music and science. He loved attending auto shows and cruises with his father, uncle and cousins. He could tell you everything there was to know about the specs and performance of any given race or muscle car.

He loved playing in the band with his father, uncle and cousins at Carpathia events. He was an excellent drummer, singer and musician as a whole. He would spend hours in the basement practicing on the drums along with his favorite band, Led Zeppelin.

He loved science and astronomy. He would sit and watch the science channel or any astrological-spacey documentary with his sister. He was the only one that she knew would sit and watch them with her and be just as interested. He was also very smart and could retain all of the information and then rattle it off to anyone willing to listen.

Tony loved his family, friends and all animals—especially the family cats. When he walked into his parents or sisters’ house, the first thing he would do was give you a hug, a kiss and a big hello, and then look for the cats. He always made sure to visit and play with each of them. He was truly the best son, brother, nephew and cousin anyone could ever ask for and loved his family unconditionally. If you needed help, he would be there immediately without hesitation.

He was a kind and gentle soul who laughed easy and forgave quickly. He is irreplaceable to those who loved him and will be greatly missed by his father, sister, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and all those whose lives he touched throughout the years.
