Ardis was born on October 8, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Frank, Sr. and Marjorie Ackley. Beloved wife of the late Dr. James Soye; dear sister of the late Frank (Patricia) Ackley, Jr. ; proud aunt of Frank, III (Courtney), Michael, Nancy-Anne (Carlos) Mora, Matthew, and David; great- aunt of Hudson, Liam, Levi, Carlos, and Thomas; cousin of James (Venetta) Ackley and John (Marianne) Ackley; and second-cousin of Amber Kanski and Dylan Ackley.
Ardis was actively involved in volunteering for many local organizations, most notably as a member of the Mt. Clemens General Women's Auxiliary. She was well known for her outgoing personality and was loved by so many. She stayed physically active by demonstrating Tai Chi for many years.
