Augie was born on May 26, 1947, in Yorkville, Ohio, to his parents, Sam and Angeline Nicosia. His family moved to Michigan when he was young. After graduating from high school, Augie built a successful career as a businessman, owning and operating Anytime Portable Sign Company for many years before retiring approximately 20 years ago.
In his free time, Augie enjoyed attending concerts, particularly those featuring some of his favorite artists, including Bob Seger and Foreigner. Above all, however, Augie was a family man. Coming from a large family with eight siblings, he cherished the time he spent with his loved ones. His family was his greatest joy, and he always enjoyed being surrounded by those closest to him. His Catholic faith was also a cornerstone of his life.
Augie is survived by his son, August Anthony Nicosia II; his granddaughter, Maleiah Arlana Nicosia; his siblings, Joseph Nicosia, Mary Selinger, Thomas Nicosia, and Angelina Gambrell; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and his companion, Vicki Roman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Angeline Nicosia, and his siblings, Phyllis Duncan, Josephine Smith, Rosaline Conklin, and Paul Nicosia.
