

Barbara will be remembered for a generous spirit and a steady, compassionate presence - someone with a truly kind heart who showed up for others without hesitation. She was loved by many, and her care for people was evident in the way she welcomed them, listened to them, and made them feel at home.
A gifted and devoted cook, Barbara found joy in feeding others and sharing her time and talent in the community. She catered at multiple VFW Posts, mainly at the Bruce Post in St Clair Shores, MI, and she also owned a restaurant, St. Nick's Hangar.
Barbara also enjoyed time spent in Greektown in Detroit, where she loved to gamble. She also had a special affection for animals, especially cats.
Barbara will be deeply missed and respectfully remembered by all those that knew and loved her.
Barbara is survived by her stepdaughters: Miriam (Marshall) McCoy and Dora Lee; brother, Donald (Judy) Naismith; step-grandchildren: Jason Hampel, Janis (Richard) Bell, and Elizabeth Greene; and friends: Mary Weight, John Shortt, Sharon Carlisle, and Janet Zimmerman.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Lee, and parents: Hugh Naismith and Wanda Sekcinski.
A memorial mass will be held for Barbara at a later date.
