Mrs. Betty Lucille Querry (nee Burton), God greeted Betty Lucille with open arms and a big smile when she arrived at his front gate on December 25. She was born March 29, 1927 in E. Peoria, Ill. Betty was a graduate of Bradley U in Peroria and taught school in E. Peoria, E. Detroit, Livonia, St. Gemma in Detroit and St. Margaret in St. Clair Shores, Mich. She was a wonderful reading teacher and tutored children in reading after school for many years. She also served as a substitute teacher for years. Ask anyone, and they will tell you she was also a great cook, among her other talents. We are all going to miss her love and good humor, especially Frank, her husband of over 59 years. Her daughter, Patrice M. (Thomas) Misny and son, Andrew F. (Eva) Burton; Her grandkids, T.J. and Jonathan Misny, and Robert, Andrew and Gina Burton. They were on the top of her "never forgetting to love with all her heart list". It was a long list which included Martha, the Burton kids mother. She is also survived by one brother. She will join her mother, father, five sisters and two brothers in heaven. You may visit her for the last time today, December 28, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Mich. 48038, 586.412-3000. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to your favorite charity, perhaps diabetes, heart, liver or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her name. She received several units of blood at St. John Hospital and the family would appreciate donations to the blood bank. Betty's body will be interned at Fondulac Cemetery in E. Peoria, Ill. A Memorial Service will be held for Betty at a later date at St. Thecla Catholic Church, 20740 S. Nunneley Road, Clinton Township, Mich. 48035, 586-791-3930.
