Beverly “Joy” Lanning, age 65, passed away on May 14, 2013. Born March 22, 1948 in Detroit to Seth and Lois Turpen. Beverly, known fondly as Joy to her friends and family, was a hard worker. She spent 21 years in the restaurant industry as a crew leader and trainer. Her bright smile and the joy she brought to everyone she met will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband Darrell "Gus", her children Derek, Dana (Burt) Matthews, Donald (Kristi Lamb) and Brandon (Heather), her grandchildren Amelia, Maisy, Quinn, and Zachary, and her sisters Ginger Vollmer and Jackie Booth. Memorial visitation Friday from 3 to 8pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Rd., Clinton Township, 48038. A prayer service will be at 7pm.
